Say what? Mother’s Day Gift Guides? But wasn’t Mother’s Day yesterday.
Yes. Yes it was.
I started on these gift guides in plenty enough time, but as any mother of two small kids (or any kids really) will tell you, sometimes life happens, and you miss a deadline.
So why not just scrap this post all together? Because I truly think these finds are something that you or your mom will love. Because maybe you didn’t get to see your mom on the big day and still have time to get something. Because maybe you want to buy something for yourself. Because I worked hard on these, dammit. (Sorry, that last one was more about me that you.)
Some of the items listed below are affiliate links. That means if you make a purchase using one of these links, I may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Everything I’ve listed below is either an item I own or would love to receive as a gift. I only want to recommend things to you that I would want in my own home.
Now, let’s get to the gift ideas!
For the Mom Who Shops Local
Mississippi Queen Tee – These adorable shirts are made by Mallory at the Chester Drawer in Shannon, MS. I love all of the unique designs she comes up with!
Welcome Home Candle – Hand-poured in Iuka, MS, Peridot & Pearl is my go-to for candles! Plus, Jacquie and I went to high school together!
Digitize Your Old Photos – Maddie at The Business Librarian in Tupelo, MS has all of the tools and expertise to digitize not only all of your old photos, but also those old play programs, special kids artwork, letters, recipes, and more.
Nutrition Coaching & Support Jessica-Lauren at With Milk and Honey is a registered dietician and offers nutrition coaching for the entire family. And when I say the entire family, I mean. I’ve seen her personally for nutrition coaching, family support, lactation consulting, and will be taking her baby-led weaning class soon with my daughter. With Milk and Honey is located in Oxford, MS but offers telehealth appointments.
For the Mom Who Runs
Book – Running Like a Girl: Notes on Learning to Run Perfect if mom is just starting out. I read and loved this book because the author isn’t your typical athlete. She documents her journey from couch potato to multi-marathoner and shares all the little lessons she’s learned along the way.
Shoes – Brooks Launch 7 Rock n Roll Marathon Series These running shoes are so fun! Cute running shoes are hard to come by. I actually own these, and they make me smile every time I lace them up.
Belt – FlipBelt Running Belt This belt holds my chapstick, phone, and airpods during my run.
Virtual Race – Mom Needs a Run Virtual 5K Race – Benefiting OSOAmil, an organization that hosts baby showers honoring active military and veterans as well as first responders and their families. This race medal is so cute!
For the Mom Who Gardens
Book – Floret Farm’s Cut Flower Garden: Grow, Harvest, and Arrange Stunning Seasonal Blooms This book is on my TBR list. It has beautiful flowers and step by step guides for growing your own cut flower garden.
Gardening Knee Pad Protect mom’s knees from getting achey (and the uncomfortable feeling of wet pants) with this gardening knee pad. I use one every time I work outside.
Gardening Tools & Bag For the mom who values function over beauty (because pretty tools that break aren’t fun), this heavy duty gardening tool set is sure to work as hard as she does. I own this exact tool set!
Apron – A Little Dirt Never Hurt Gardening Apron How cute is this gardening apron?
For the Mom Who Bakes
KitchenAid Stand Mixer There’s a reason these are so popular. If mom does any baking from scratch, the stand mixer is a must.
Two Dozen Cupcake Carrier Why do all cupcake carriers only store one dozen? All of my recipes make 2 dozen, so I love having one carrier for all of them!
AmeriColor Gel Paste Food Color Forget any other food coloring. This is exactly what you need to get deep, rich color in your icing.
The Magic of Baking Course Tessa is one of my favorite resources for recipes, and her online class is amazing. She breaks down the science of baking and what each ingredients purpose is. If you love to bake from scratch or what to start developing your own recipes, this course is a great place to start.
If you’re a mom, what did you get for Mother’s Day? Drew surprised me with a Cameo video from the actor who played Brent Norwalk in The Good Place. I loved it!
